We had a wonderful night with Yolaine who is extremely interesting, well travelled, multi lingual, great cook and a most charming host. We would highly recommend a booking with Yolaine for a relaxing and most enjoyable evening.
We had a very pleasant evening with Yolaine. Yolaine is very well-traveled and lived in many different countries all over the world before settling down into this gorgeous Berlin apartment with lots of atmosphere and a balcony where we started this summer evening with home-made lemonade and a tasty seasonal starter before moving into the living room and on the Italian intermediate course, the hearty German main course and the sweet French dessert. It was close to midnight when we went home - satisfied with good conversations, delicious wine and culinary delights. Very recommendable!
Yolaine was a wonderful host to my sister and myself! She has been living in Berlin for the past ten years and certainly knows her way around Germany cuisine! (And is French, so also knows how to pick a great wine ;) ) A third guest asked if we could help her cook the meal, so she allowed us all to arrive an hour early to prepare a Crème anglaise as well as a panna cotta for our dessert. She also had a delicious bruschetta appetizer for us to snack on while we worked, as well as a fizzy ginger drink that I can't wait to make for myself this summer! The main course was a pork dish with a "secret sauce", as well as typical german dumplings with sauerkraut and onions. She brought a tasty red wine to go along with dinner, and we were certainly stuffed by the end of the meal! Yolaine's apartment was beautiful, with a nice balcony, and she even let us know she rents out her second bedroom for Airbnb (Would definitely recommend!) I'm very glad we had the opportunity to dine with Yolaine during our short visit to Berlin and try traditional German food that went beyond just a bratwurst or schnitzel. Hope to run into her again in a future visit to Berlin!
