I am Michela.
Paolo and I are friends.
I met Paolo a long time ago in Ventotene, a small island in the Mediterranean sea off the western coast of Italy between Rome and Naples.
We spent many summers on this remote island sharing a big house with other friends.
Paolo used to go fishing with an old local fisherman and, in the evening, he loved to cook fresh fish for all of us.
The atmosphere was simple and laid back, good food, wine, music and enthusiasm were the recipes.
I am originally from Naples so I have the natural Neapolitan aptitude for hospitality, laughter and conversation!
Time has passed. We have decided to re-create that same warm, fun and casual atmosphere here in Rome, in my house in Trastevere.
I enjoy cooking traditional Italian cakes and pastries.
Paolo has become a professional chef.
His search for the best local products is authentic and continuous.
His creative dishes shaped on classic italian food are all prepared with top quality local ingredients.
Paolo believes that the secret of Italian cooking is simplicity and quality.
When in Rome...come and visit us!

Michela & Paolo are consummate hosts located in one of Rome’s most enjoyable neighborhoods. The evening began with sparkling wine, local cheese and meats. From there we moved into the well-appointed dining room where deliciousness ensued. Highlights included Paolo’s fresh homemade pasta, local artichokes, chicken cacciatore, delicious wine and Michela’s tiramisu prepared tableside! All top notch.
We have enjoyed several eat with dinners in various cities and this was by far our best experience. It hit the mark on several fronts (food, ambiance, drinks, conversation and vibe). Michela and Paolo made all guest feel welcome and cared for. They made sure plates and glasses were never empty. Their hearts are big and full of passion for cooking and hosting. The conversations were interesting and enlightening. We learned a lot. Not only are we recommending this dinner to our friends and family, we will certainly be back again to enjoy the hospitality of Michela and Paolo.

It was my first experience on eatwith.com and it was a great experience!!! Michaela and Paolo are very attentive and warmhearted hosts, they think about details from explaining how to find them and beautiful house decorations to wonderful atmosphere during the dinner and exceptional food. All we ate and drink that evening were incredibly delicious! The whole meal was traditionally Roman and made of fresh ingredients, it included all parts that were listed in the dinner description on the site. The place was lovely, with a very nice view and in in good easy to reach neighborhood. There were 12 guests from US and UK and we had really enjoyable conversation. Michaela and Paolo were able to create a great friendly atmosphere. This dinner was definitely a highlight of our Rome vacation and I highly recommend Michaela and Paolo as terrific hosts!

Michela und Paolo haben meiner Frau und mir - zusammen mit den anderen Gästen - einen unvergesslich schönen Abend bereitet.
Dies begann bei der Begrüßung und setzte sich den ganzen Abend fort. Paolo hat ein vorzügliches Essen zubereitet, ergänzt durch Michelas Dessert und ihre Herzlichkeit. Als Team seid ihr beide unschlagbar! Vielen Dank für einen wunderbaren Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Grazie Michela, grazie Paolo!
