Hello EatWith & TripAdvisor friends! I am a professional chef and with the humbling honour of being selected as one of nine traditional Japanese chefs in Europe by the Japanese government this year. I lived in Japan for a few years and started the supper club in 2011 to share food you cannot get in restaurants! I was formally a head chef, teacher, baker and chocolatier. I still work as a chef in a restaurant, do recipe development and consulting as I work on making private dining full-time. I love to use my skills to meet new people over food! I am originally from the US, so you will also see some favorite "American" style dinners like macaroni & cheese or Thanksgiving. Most guests who come aren't vegetarian, but everything is 100% vegan so everyone can enjoy themselves together! That's what I love about the supper clubs: to provide good food and a fun evening. About half the guests come by themselves- so don't be shy! Get in touch if you would like to book for a certain date or a special lunch or dinner. We had an awesome first Supper club experience with Jhenn and Ed. Really charming hosts, with the bibimbap spicy and full of more-ish toasty rice. The almond and persimmon cake was utterly delicious and I would not have been able to tell the difference with a non vegan cake. Board games were very entertaining. Highly recommended!
