First at all: the eatwith system is very hard: they write i am in my 50th! No!!! i am 49 abc!!! Hi, I'm Manuela Esther. My roots are half German, half Cuban and I have been living in Budapest since the end of the 1980's. My original profession is fine artist/painter, but my passion is cooking and hosting people. Because of my artistic background, the aesthetic of my location is bohemian and intimate - in the summer I serve meals in a cozy hidden garden. I'm not a great lover of Hungarian cuisine, so I craft meals with Italian and Caribbean influences, along with some Hungarian elements. As for me, I have an open mind and mouth - sometimes a bit too much of both! I would love to cook for you! I promise you will find delicious soulfood that is artfully prepared, like a still life painting: a feast for the eyes, body, and soul.

Ils parlent de leur expérience chez Manuela-esther
Having gotten off the plane from the US only hours prior, Manuela and her friends were the best welcoming committee a person could ask for. Traveling alone, that really meant something. And Manuela’s food was as delicious as it was storied. The care in preparing it was evident, but even more so was the love the love that became evident when she told the stories behind each dish. Her home is also so cozy and eclectic, that if I weren’t so jetlagged, I may have been compelled to stay and ask about each painting, artwork and item in her home! She is a mutli-talented woman and I look forward to seeing her again on this trip!’
